About Us
We have come a long way from the beginning....
PC Square was founded in 2009 by Mr. CP van der Vywer in his Beacon Bay garage, focusing on providing affordable and reliable products and solutions for small to medium enterprises. Emphasizing quick turnaround times, after-sales service, and integrity, this legacy continues today.
In 2016, CP partnered with Mr. Lawrence Haw (then of HawCweb Computers), introducing many of Lawrence’s open-source and Linux-based solutions to PC Square’s clients. When CP moved to Australia in 2018, Lawrence took over the business, merging HawCweb and PC Square while retaining all staff.
Lawrence’s IT career began in high school, evolving from basic technician tasks to developing comprehensive solutions for file sharing, email systems, CCTV, voice, and firewalling, all often done on limited budgets. This experience led him to embrace open-source technology, particularly Linux.
